Duration: 90 min. $150

With increased knowledge and research about the therapeutic benefits of massage, professionals and regular players of any sport have realized that regular massage therapy can aid in anybody's recovery, rehabilitation and performance, before and after a sports activity.

Methods of massage for these purposes varies according to the client.

Warm-down massage can reduce muscle tension , minimize swelling and soreness, encourage relaxation, and reduce recuperation time. We use massage techniques that spread and stretch muscle fibers to minimize adhesions, encourage circulation, and facilitate acid elimination.

Those who participate in exercise programs, as well as athletes in training, can benefit from massage therapy. Research has shown that massage therapy can:

  • Decrease muscle stiffness and fatigue after exercise.
  • Reduce muscle tension.
  • Promote relaxation.
  • Increase range of motion.
  • Improve soft tissue function.
  • Decrease muscle soreness.
  • Reduce swelling and inflammation

The benefits and importance of massage therapy and soft tissue manipulation speak for themselves and hold a pronounced place in the world of physical medicine. In addition to anatomy and physiology, massage therapists must also understand the particular sport, be familiar with common injuries associated with the sport, and have the technical knowledge to be effective: Orthopedic massage and functional assessment, clinical massage, myofascial work, and stretching.

Our goal is to meet each individual client’s massage therapy needs, and in the field of treatment & performance oriented massage, our philosophy remains the same: Our massages take place in profound relaxation and comfort.

We use what you tell us, our intuition, and the massage techniques better suited for you at that moment. Some of the massage therapy techniques we use are: Neuromuscular Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, and Active Isolated Stretching.
